So, Hannah, I just watched a video on youtube the other day which inspired this long ass essay about abortion. It was written for someone else, but it explains my side and why I’m Pro-Life and always will be. There’s also a bit at the very end for you.
Ok. I have a pro-life point of view and I wanna ask a few questions I don’t think you’ll have the answer for. First, I just want to point out the fact that nobody has the right to play God, I don’t care who you are. But, since you don’t like when pro-lifers preach about it, let’s take religion out of my argument. The most obvious argument is that no one is forced to have sex. Why does a woman get to terminate her pregnancy, killing her child, risking her own life, just because she got horny one night and “slipped up”? Or I guess the question should be “why would”. When you have sex, you know that there’s a chance you could get pregnant. Pregnancy is not some rare condition, women (and men for that matter) know that whether condoms or birth control are involved, shit happens. So, if you’re not responsible enough or financially stable to raise a child, then keep your legs closed. End of story. A lot of people argue the fact that rape victims often get pregnant and that they should have the right to abort the baby that they didn’t ask for. You, yourself, said that you can’t understand why a woman would want to raise a child knowing that the father raped her. Seriously? That is so fucking selfish. No, that woman didn’t ask to be raped, but that baby didn’t ask to be conceived either. If anything, that baby would be the only good coming from a bad situation. A lot of times raped women get depressed and we all know what depression can lead to. Who’s to say that that baby wouldn’t save that woman’s life? Give her something to live for? I find it incredibly insulting that you can say that if your baby may be born without a leg or an arm or whatever, that they don’t have the right to live. You don’t get to say that. I’ll admit that there are times when it may seem like death is the best option.. But not only do I believe that the situation has to be extremely bad, how can you be the judge of that? As for the children being abused, I’m deeply sickened even just by the thought…but I’m also sickened by your assumption that a baby or child or person would rather die or that it’s better for a baby to be killed than be raised into an abusive home. Most people know that no matter how horrible the situation is at home, there are always little rays of hope…to you that may seem like no way to live but yes, people who are abused or assaulted do want to live. And given a choice, I can guarantee that the babies being slaughtered on a daily basis across the world would want a chance. But they don’t have a voice do they? No, their mother gets to decide whether or not he or she ever gets to laugh or smile or even cry. Can you give me an answer as to why that’s ok? The money issue really is getting old, “NO ONE” really has the money for the children they “accidentally” conceive but everyone makes it, don’t they? I know I didn’t grow up in Gucci dresses but who the fuck cares? I’m alive and I’m happy no matter what has happened in my past. And adoption… If you’re just going to kill your baby anyways, why not give him or her to someone who can’t conceive but wants a baby? You said, “Why would a woman want to carry her baby to full term and then give it away” ……….so it’s either she keep her baby or kill it rather than giving it to a loving home because SHE would be too sad to let it go? Really, listen to yourself. Ok, here’s my favorite part. Did you know that in most states if you walk up to a pregnant woman and kill her and her baby, knowing it or not, whether she be 1 week or 9 months, you get charged with TWO counts of murder? Can you explain that to me? Can you explain why a woman can choose to abort her baby at 6 months because she’d just gathered the money, or at 3 weeks because she’s “not ready” but a man chooses to kill that baby and he can literally get a death sentence? Be put to death for taking a life that, had the mother made the decision, could have been cut into right at that very minute. The phrase, “your body, your choice” is so ignorant. We’re not talking about an eyebrow piercing. We’re talking about the death of an innocent child. Because someone decided that sex is more important than the potential child they know could have been conceived. In some cases, women don’t use anything…and then they use abortion as their form of birth control. It’s disgusting and will never be any less selfish than it always has been. Anyways, as you can see all of your arguments are invalid, so I don’t expect a response. Here’s a quote I read online once. “Women disregard the risk and then whine about the barbaric choices available to them when things don’t turn out the way they wanted… And I guess it’s our national responsibility to overlook the rights a child - fetus - should have in order to let the irresponsible female feel better… while a child is being slaughtered more inhumanely than livestock.” 3 words. Suck it, bitch.
And a message to you, when was the last time you heard someone say “Omg, I hope I don’t get ill because of this pregnancy! I should get an abortion!” It’s emotionally scarring to give your baby up for adoption? It’s also emotionally and physically scarring to murder your child. And cancelling plans because you have the flu is QUITE a bit different than killing a baby. Pro-choicers never have any logic in their arguments. lol, fuck off.
